Dissociate Fixed IP Address from Instance

You can remove or dissociate a fixed IP address assigned to an instance to make it inaccessible over the internal network.

You must be a self-service user or an administrator to perform this operation.

To dissociate a fixed IP address assigned to an instance, follow the steps given below.

  1. Log in to Clarity.
  2. Click Instances in the left panel.
  3. Select the checkbox for the instance from which you want to dissociate a fixed IP address.
  4. Click Network on the toolbar seen above the list of instances. Remove Fixed IP
  5. Click Remove Fixed IP.
  6. Select the checkbox for the fixed IP address to remove or dissociate.
  7. Click Remove.

The floating IP assigned to the instance is dissociated from the instance. The instance can still be accessed through the fixed IP over the console, in the internal network.
