# Cluster Access - Kubeconfig

space.vars.product\_name
provides Kubernetes Cluster Access via kubeconfig. You can download the kubeconfig by going to the Kubernetes cluster and clicking "Download Kubeconfig" button on the right top of the page.

You can read more about kubeconfig here: <https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/configuration/organize-cluster-access-kubeconfig/>

#### Using kubeconfig

To connect to the cluster using the kubeconfig, follow these steps:

* Download the kubeconfig
* [Install `kubectl`](https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/tools/) in your machine
* [Install kubelogin](https://github.com/int128/kubelogin), the OIDC plugin for `kubectl`
* Export the `KUBECONFIG` environment variable in your terminal:
 * Eg: `export KUBECONFIG=~/Platform9/kubeconfigs/pcdcluster.kubeconfig`
* Use `kubectl` to access the resources on the cluster
 * The first time you login, you will be redirected to a page granting your Private Cloud Director account access to the Kubernetes workloads.
 * Next, use the resources on the cluster. Eg: `kubectl get nodes`
