Add VMware Cloud Provider
The following services are required on your VMware deployment on OpenStack to deploy fully automated Managed Kubernetes clusters.
- VMware Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS)
Add OpenStack Cloud Provider
If you are using MS Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), you must provide the user domain name and the project domain name. The default value of user domain name and project domain name is default.
Follow the steps given below to add AWS as cloud provider.
- Navigate to Infrastructure>Cloud Providers>Add New Cloud Provider.
- Click vmware under Cloud Provider Type.
Enter the following OpenStack credentials.
Field Description Name Name of your choice to be given to the cloud provider Keystone URL URL to Platform9 Managed OpenStack control plane Username User name for admin account for Platform9 Managed OpenStack Password Password for admin account for Platform9 Managed OpenStack Project Tenant name for Platform9 Managed OpenStack Username User name for admin account for OpenStack
- Click Advanced Settings to configure AD DS settings. Specify the user domain name and the project domain name for AD DS. This is an optional step.
- Click Save.
The OpenStack cloud provider is created successfully, and you are now ready to create Kubernetes clusters on the VMware cloud provider.
