# Access Instances Via Console

You can access the console of an instance through Clarity, to run CLI commands.

You must be a self-service user or an administrator to perform this operation.

To access the console of an instance, follow the steps given below.

1\. Log in to Clarity.

2\. Click Instances in the left panel.

3\. Select the checkbox for the instance whose console you wish to access.

4\. Click Console on the toolbar seen above the list of instances.

The instance console is visible on Clarity UI and you can run CLI commands to do a variety of console-based tasks.
