# Authorize A Node Nodes that have been added to Platform9 by installing the HostAgent or manually [Deauthorized](/managed-kubernetes/5.15/clusters/nodes/deauthorize-node.md) must be authorized to Platform9 prior to being used to build or scale a cluster.. ### Authorize a Node Follow the steps given below to authorize a node. 1. Navigate to Infrastructure Nodes Tab. 2. Change the State filter in the table action bar to unauthorized 3. Select the node and click Authorize from the table action bar.
