# Bareos Ubuntu Prerequisites

This document describes Ubuntu specific pre-requisites for an on-premise Kubernetes cluster built using PMK.

## Operating System Install

To prepare a physical or virtual node to be part of a BareOS Kubernetes cluster:

* Install the latest version of [Ubuntu 18.04](http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/18.04.4/).
* Update all packages to receive the latest security and bug fixes.
