You can download the kubeconfig file that pertains to a cluster, by using the Platform9 Clarity UI.
The kubeconfig file is required to configure access to a cluster and switch between multiple clusters, multiple users, and with different authentication mechanism such as password or token, while using the kubectl command line.
You must be an administrator to perform this operation.
Follow the steps given below to download the kubeconfig file.
- Navigate to Kubernetes>API Access.
- Click the Download kubeconfig link for the desired cluster from the cluster list.
- Select the Authentication Method as Token for token-based authentication or Password for password-based authentication.
- Click Download Config to download the kubeconfig file.
The kubeconfig file is downloaded to the default download folder.
